New Group Structure: A Case Study

Merranti successfully created a new group structure for the merger of two similar businesses without incurring a tax liability.

The new structure enabled both businesses to benefit from mutual synergies, economies of scale and created a platform for further acquisitions.  The collective owners now have separate roles within the new business which builds on their individual strengths. They have appointed a Merranti Member to act as a non-executive Director to help steer the Group in the right direction, ensuring alignment between all members.
